A circulated 2003 or 2003A $2 bill is worth face value, $2 to $3. Uncirculated ones sell for about $6 to $14.

Star notes are the valuable ones here: about $11 to $30 worn and $30 to $90 uncirculated.

Look at the serial number. A star at the end can make it worth many times face value.

Questions

What's the difference between 2003 and 2003A?

The signatures. Series 2003 carries Rosario Marin's signature as Treasurer; Series 2003A carries Anna Escobedo Cabral's. Worn notes of both are worth face value.

Is old paper money still legal tender?

Yes. All U.S. paper money issued since 1861 is still legal tender at face value. Collectors usually pay more for older or crisp notes.

Where can I sell it?

For common notes, a local coin or currency dealer is quickest. eBay works for notes worth $20 or more. Send notes worth several hundred dollars to a currency auction house.

Should I get it graded?

Only if it's worth well over $100. Grading by PMG or PCGS Banknote costs tens of dollars per note plus shipping, which is more than most common notes are worth.
